Key Responsibilities:
Analysis and Optimization: Analyzing existing logistics processes (warehousing, transport, planning, material flow) and identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement.
Solution Design: Designing new and innovative logistics solutions, including warehouse layouts, transport networks, packaging processes, and information systems.
Project Implementation: Leading or participating in projects for the implementation of new logistics systems, technologies, and processes.
Data Analysis: Extensive data analysis (costs, performance, capacity) to support decision-making and solution proposals.
Technical Specifications: Preparing technical specifications for logistics equipment, systems, and services.
Benchmarking: Monitoring trends and best practices in logistics engineering and their application within the KION Group.
Collaboration: Close cooperation with IT, production, purchasing, sales, and external suppliers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
University degree (Master's or Engineering) in logistics, industrial engineering, supply chain, or a related technical field.
Proven experience in logistics engineering, project management, and process optimization.
Already implemented advanced handling systems, such as AGVs, automated warehouses, or automatic replenishment systems between assembly line and warehouse
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, ability to work with large datasets.
Experience with tools for modeling and simulating logistics systems.
Advanced knowledge of ERP (SAP) and EWM systems.
Excellent presentation and communication skills, ability to persuade
Ability to lead projects and work in a team
English at a communicative level
