About the Team

You would be joining a full-stack AI/ML team at Kinaxis that is responsible for delivering complete functionality from the platform up to the solution, which functions in the supply and demand space for verticals such as Retail, Consumer Packaged Goods, Life Sciences, and others. This includes building a platform that includes workflows, REST services, containers and orchestration, and solutions in the spaces including forecasting, optimization, replenishment, recommendation, and explainability.

Location: This is a hybrid position. You must be in the Ottawa, Canada office, at least three days a week

Term Duration: This is a full-time,8 month position starting May 2026

Co-op or Intern: This position is open to co-ops and interns. To be eligible for a Co-op or Intern position at Kinaxis, you must either be currently enrolled in full-time education or, if you are a recent/upcoming graduate, your graduation date must be within 12 months of the placement end date.

Compensation range: $27.04 - $39.66 hourly rate. The final offer within this range will reflect the candidate’s skills, year of education and experience.

What you will do

• Collaborative Development: Work with senior engineers on developing and enhancing software solutions for real-world software platform and AI/ML applications.
• Platform Enhancement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of our AI platform, ensuring scalability and security.
• Learning & Growth: Gain hands-on experience in software development, cloud-native technologies, and machine learning through pair programming, code reviews, and mentorship.
• Agile Practices: Participate in agile processes such as sprint planning, huddles, pair programming and retrospectives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

What we are looking for

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity and some experience with AI/ML
• Familiarity with one or more programming languages, including Python.
• You love to work in a team, learning from others, and teaching them.
• Enthusiastic about gaining hands-on experience in software development, AI/ML, and cloud computing.
• Ability to work through complex technical problems with a logical and methodical approach.
• Strong communication skills, and eagerness to collborate and work on a team.
