Account Manager, Fire Products

 

In this position you will be responsible for sales for our Fire Products in the Netherlands and you will report into the Sales Director Fire Benelux – DACH.

Location: Remote role - ideally a person will be based in the middle/middle-north part of the Netherlands, with travel throughout the country expected.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain existing customer relationships and prospect new customers.
  • Achieve assigned sales plans/targets in a proper qualitative approach.
  • Suggest new applications, adaptations or modifications to existing product lines to address specific customer system needs.

Tasks:

  • Assist in planning and developing short and long-term sales and marketing strategy within territory, to achieve given turnover targets.
  • Prospecting new customers, Business Development activities.
  • Maintain contact with local authorities and approval agencies, such as architects, designers to get Kidde Global Solutions Fire products specified.
  • Analyze customer and market needs, as well as competitors’ products and sales strategies, reporting promptly new developments to management.
  • Participate in trade shows and organize seminars and product promotions.
  • Follow up on product performance, identify and document difficulties and technical and application problems.
  • Facilitate specific and regular customer product trainings to ensure proper understanding of KGS Fire products equipment.
  • Accompany installers and/or the technical support engineers on trouble-shooting assignments and call on end-users, when so requested, to take corrective action and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Offer marketing and product management suggestions for product development to meet customer requirements.

Key requirements:

 

  • Min. Bachelor degree (preferred technical education, however other will also be considered).
  • Min. 2 years of experience in selling and/or Business Development in fire & fire security portfolio on the Dutch market. Proven track records in sales
  • Exposure to, or familiarity with fire alarm systems, Aspiration Smoke Detection Systems; physical security systems experience will also be considered.
  • Native / fluent Dutch, min. good English, both in writing and speaking.
  • Good technical background, combined with commercial flair.
  • Strong influencing skills, ambitious, self-driving, highly motivated. We are looking for a hunter!
  • Ability to build own credibility and develop effective relationships at all levels.
