Role: Product Cybersecurity Architect
Location: Gdańsk, Poland

Role purpose:
as a Product Cybersecurity Architect, you will play a pivotal role in embedding security into every phase of the engineering and development lifecycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive secure development principles, assess and mitigate cybersecurity risks, and design robust security controls. Your expertise will support product security activities, including threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and security assurance testing. Additionally, you will provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to ensure KGS offerings meet the highest security standards while fostering innovation and resilience in a dynamic cybersecurity landscape.
Responsibilities:
Support all phases of secure engineering, support, and development lifecycles in collaboration with cross-functional leaders, stakeholders, contributors, and business partners.
Drive secure development principles, practices, and activities across engineering and production to help identify, quantify, and manage cybersecurity risks, issues, and defects within KGS offerings, ensuring appropriate remediation to defined standards.
Collaborate with engineering teams to scope projects, define cybersecurity requirements, perform gap analyses, refine functional requirements, and roadmap residual cyber risk.
Architect solutions and design security controls to meet secure design requirements; support cyber-related feature and functionality development; implement security modules and solutions; and foster new product development and innovation.
Provide subject-matter expertise in cybersecurity and product development.
Support Product Security activities, including threat modeling, security assurance testing, cyber risk assessments, security reviews, and vulnerability assessments across all offerings.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and training.
Lead business units and project teams through security certification and accreditation processes.
Support ad hoc initiatives within the cybersecurity engineering domain, as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2–5 years of software development experience, with:
5 years of experience developing secure systems or controls or
3+ years of product cybersecurity experience.
Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills and multi-domain technical aptitude.
Broad technical domain experience (e.g., Embedded, Enterprise, Mobile, Cloud).
Strong cybersecurity knowledge combined with solid software engineering skills.
Subject-matter expertise in secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) practices and activities.
Strong experience with secure-by-design principles and architecture-level security concepts.
Working knowledge of cloud-native and cloud-friendly authentication mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, OpenID).
Experience with deployment orchestration, automation, and security configuration management tools (e.g., CircleCI, Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, Ansible).
Working knowledge of SSL/TLS, PKI, AES, key management protocols, and secure communication over HTTP/TCP and UDP.
Strong understanding of cloud technologies, including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
Experience with security certifications and accreditations such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, or similar.
Familiarity with cybersecurity standards such as IEC 62443.
Relevant certifications demonstrating deep practical knowledge (e.g., CSSLP, CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, AWS Solutions Architect – Professional).
Willingness to travel occasionally.
Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Individuals may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company’s performance. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to the job requirements.
