About the role

As an RDA Technologist, you will join our Food Service Beverage Development & Applications team, supporting the wider Kerry European Food Service business.

 

In this role, you will take ownership of New Product Development (NPD) for our beverage portfolio, collaborating closely with our Food Service Brands and Commercial teams to develop, refine, and launch innovative beverage solutions for customers across coffee chains and quick service restaurant (QSR) outlets.

 

You will play a key role in ensuring our beverages are designed to meet evolving consumer and customer expectations, with a strong focus on sustainability embedded throughout the development and launch of every product.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and support Beverage NPD projects for global coffee chain customers, managing briefs from concept through to factory handover.
  • Ensure products meet customer requirements and timelines, and support additional priority Food Service Beverage NPD initiatives.
  • Partner with Kerry Technology teams to incorporate Kerry Foundational Technologies into Beverage Systems.
  • Work closely with the Beverage Applications team to ensure new products meet customer expectations and perform in customer applications.
  • Collaborate with Kerry Beverage manufacturing sites to ensure recipes fit site capabilities, and attend trials and first production runs.
  • Engage with commercial teams to deliver bestinclass solutions and align on timelines throughout commercialisation.
  • Lead and support customer innovation days and internal innovation briefs.
  • Manage PIP/value engineering projects for Food Service Beverage Systems.
  • Maintain strong laboratory practices and ensure shelflife testing is completed with Quality teams.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings to track project progress and timelines.
  • Lead or support taste panels and product evaluation sessions.
  • Work in alignment with the Food Service regional strategy.

Qualifications and skills

  • Degree in a Scientific or Food Technology discipline an advantage
  • Experience and proven track record in New Food Product Development
  • Strong technical acumen and understanding of food/ beverage manufacturing desired
  • Good lab practices and organisational skills to maintain a clean efficient working environment.
  • Culinary/Barista skills an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Customer experience desired
  • Competent IT skills
