Role Description, Skills, Experience and Qualifications required Job Summary

The blender is responsible for fully preparing and personally certifying large batches of dry food ingredients in accordance with Company specifications for use in the manufacturing process. This key position ensures that our food products contain only what they are supposed to contain and in the right proportions.

 

 

Key responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

  Accurately weigh and measure ingredients for use in blends.

  Maintain accurate paper records of the quantities of ingredients added to batches.

  Use basic math skills, including fractions, to calculate quantities of ingredients needed for partial batches.

  Assist with detailed cleaning activities in blending room as well as other areas of plant on a regular basis.

  Deliver a clean, well-ordered blending room to replacement each shift.

  Operate a vacuum-assisted lift, digital scales, paper recycling compressor, pallet lift, and mixer.

  Stage all required materials for pending blends in advance of shift change.

  Basic Computer skills required. Prior SAP or inventory control experience is beneficial.

Qualifications and skills

Minimum Qualifications

  High School Diploma or GED preferred, but no required.

  Must be able to tolerate the listed physical and environmental demands of this position with or without accommodations.

  Ability to communicate verbally and in written form.

  Must have some work experience doing heavy manual labor within the last 5 years.

  Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

 

The pay rate for this position is $20.93 per hour.  Kerry offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, Employee Share Plan, Life, disability, and accident insurance.  This job posting is anticipated to expire on 2/23/26
