Compensation: $17.24 - $22.86 hourly. The final job offer is based on several factors (internal equity, skills, education, experience, and credentials).
Additional compensation:10% premium pay, $4-$6 3rd shift, weekend differential.

We are seeking a Crisis Center Recovery Coach or Crisis Center Peer Support Specialist
Crisis Center Recovery Coach
As part of a multidisciplinary team-based service, this role will provide interventions for clients experiencing a behavioral health crisis and assist clients in understanding and accessing substance use disorder services. The Recovery Coach will model competency in recovery and demonstrate on-going coping skills. This will occur in the context of the Crisis Center, which includes a Brief Intervention Clinic and Crisis Stabilization Unit.
Crisis Center Peer Support Specialist
As part of a multidisciplinary team-based service, this role will assist individuals in understanding and using mental health and substance use disorders services. The Peer Support Specialist will model competency in recovery and demonstrate on-going coping skills. The assigned site will be the Crisis Center, which includes a Brief Intervention Clinic and Crisis Stabilization Unit.
This position is 30 hours a week working Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00pm to 8:00am. This assignment is in person at 260 Jefferson Ave SE Grand Rapids, Michigan 49503.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CRISIS CENTER RECOVERY COACH
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CRISIS CENTER PEER SUPPORT SPECIALIST
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• State of Michigan Certified Peer Support Specialist or be eligible to become certified by the State as a Peer Support Specialist within 90 days of hire, which requires an individual to have:
o Primary diagnosis of a mental health condition, or
o Have a strong personal knowledge of what it is like to have first-hand lived experience with a mental health condition that has caused a substantial life disruption, or
o Has been a recipient of mental health treatment and/or services for at least one year, with a substantial life disruption due to their mental health condition, or
o Have personal experience in navigating complex mental health treatment services.
• Knowledge about mental illnesses and/or substance use disorders as well as recovery and crisis intervention.
• Computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, electronic health record, and data entry skills.
• Solid communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities.
