About this role

Kemps LLC is a subsidiary of Dairy Farmers of America(DFA).

Starting wage of $22.75 and full scale at 12 months of $31.58

Start time of 9pm, Monday-Friday.

Mix Maker is responsible for the operation and monitoring of all the ice cream mixes. The Mix Maker uses a computer to control milk product flow into the mixing tanks. The employee adds various ingredients into the tanks to complete the mix. Multiple mixes run at the same time in the available tanks. Depending on the product, some mixes require little to no added ingredients, while others require ingredients to be added at various times throughout the cycle. Mix recipes are accessible through the computer. The Mix Maker is also responsible for making line switches and washing tanks as needed.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent required. - Written Communication: Writes clearly and informatively; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information. - Quality: Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Monitors own work to ensure quality. - Safety and Security: Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly. Ability to read and understand MSDS sheets. - Attendance/Punctuality: Is consistently at work and on time. - Dependability: Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions. - Language Skills: Ability to read, write and speak English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as daily production schedule, safety rules, procedure manuals, work orders and labels. Ability to speak effectively to internal customers. - Mathematical Skills: Minimal - Ability to add and subtract using simple whole numbers. - Reasoning Ability: Minimal - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
