Our mission is to achieve exceptional results for our clients, drive innovation in the practice of law, and pursue unparalleled excellence in everything we do.</p> <p><strong>Purpose:</strong></p> <p>Keller Postman seeks a <strong>Litigation Support Attorney</strong> to support its representation of plaintiffs in complex litigation at the trial and appellate levels. This role is designed for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and prefers to focus on litigation support, procedural execution, and quality control rather than primary case ownership.</p> <p>The Litigation Support Attorney will perform a wide range of litigation support functions, leveraging their legal training to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and consistency across matters. Approximately thirty percent of the role will be dedicated to coordinating workstreams within an assigned practice area and mentoring paralegals and legal assistants.</p> <p>The compensation range for this full-time position is <strong>$55/hour to $70/hour</strong>, plus a year-end discretionary bonus and benefits. Please note the Litigation Support Attorney is a non-Partner-track role.</p> <p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist the Chief of Litigation Services with coordinating and assigning litigation support tasks to paralegals and legal assistants while ensuring quality, timely completion of tasks.</li> <li>Mentor, train, and provide substantive guidance to legal support staff, helping to strengthen litigation skills, procedural knowledge, and overall performance.</li> <li>Manage and support all phases of litigation from an operational and procedural standpoint, including pleadings, motion practice, discovery, arbitration, trial preparation, and appellate procedures.</li> <li>Support trial and hearing preparation by overseeing pretrial filings, managing trial transcripts, and compiling, organizing, and tracking trial exhibits.</li> <li>Assist with drafting, reviewing, preparing, filing, and organizing pleadings, briefs, appeals, and other legal documents using Microsoft Word, CM/ECF, and related systems.</li> <li>Conduct legal and factual research using Westlaw and other sources to support attorneys and litigation teams.</li> <li>Perform detailed cite-checking and quality control of legal documents, including Bluebook compliance, Shepardizing authorities, and verifying the accuracy of quoted material and cited exhibits.</li> <li>Organize and maintain case files, pleadings, expert materials, attorney notebooks, and related documents in both hard copy and electronic case-management systems.</li> <li>Implement and maintain organizational systems for case calendars, filings, correspondence, and litigation materials using firm software and tools.</li> <li>Communicate with courts, outside counsel, clients, experts, and vendors as needed in support of litigation activities.</li> <li>Collaborate with attorneys and internal departments to develop efficient procedures and improve litigation support workflows.</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Skills and Abilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of federal and state litigation procedures, including motion practice, discovery, arbitration, trial, and appellate processes.</li> <li>Advanced proficiency in legal research, legal writing support, and Bluebook citation standards, with exceptional attention to detail.</li> <li>Excellent organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage complex litigation across multiple jurisdictions.</li> <li>Ability to coach, mentor, and train legal support staff, contributing to team development and operational excellence.</li> <li>Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume, and demanding environment.</li> <li>Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.</li> <li>Strong time-management skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities.</li> <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment and discretion.</li> <li>Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and litigation teams.</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>JD or LL.B. required. An LL.M. is acceptable with at least 10 years of experience.</li> <li>A minimum of <strong>4 years of experience</strong> supporting litigation matters in a law firm or comparable legal environment.</li> <li>Substantial experience with complex litigation, including trial and appellate support, strongly preferred.</li> <li>Experience mentoring and supervising others strongly preferred.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience using CM/ECF, PACER, Westlaw, and the Bluebook.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Licenses:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Admission to at least one U.S. state bar required; active status preferred but not required</li> </ul> <p><strong>Language Ability:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p>Keller Postman is an Equal Opportunity Employer.&nbsp; For California Applicants, please find our CRPA information <a href="https://www.kellerpostman.com/privacy-notice-for-california/">here</a>.&nbsp;</p></div>
