Job DetailsJob Location: Concord, NC 28027-7963AC Controls, a Kele Company,  has been providing superior products and services since 1960 for process and combustion applications, offering systems integration services, combustion & process control systems, and distribution of industrial instrumentation, controls, and valves to the process and power industries in the southeast.    We are currently hiring for the role of Inside Sales Manager.  The Inside Sales Manager is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the performance and development of the inside sales team. This position focuses on managing team operations, driving sales performance, and ensuring high levels of customer service. While prior technical experience is beneficial, the successful candidate will be expected to build a significant working knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, and automation solutions. Candidates should show evidence of past success in learning technical subject matter in some field or course of study and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and development. Essential Responsibilities: Sales Management and Team Leadership Leads and manages the daily activities and long-term performance of the assigned inside sales team through coaching, training, development, and accountability. Oversees the achievement of sales goals, service levels, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Conducts regular performance evaluations and supports career growth for team members. Analyzes sales metrics and prepares reports for leadership to guide business decisions. Establishes and maintains operating procedures that promote efficiency and consistency across the team. Manages hiring, onboarding, and training of inside sales personnel. Resolves internal concerns and supports a positive team culture. Technical Sales Support and Strategic Engagement Learns and applies technical knowledge to support complex applications involving control systems, instrumentation, and automation solutions. Engages with strategic customers to understand their technical needs and provide appropriate product recommendations. Supports large or technically complex projects in coordination with vendors, engineering, and product teams. Acts as an internal escalation point for advanced technical issues, with support from senior technical staff as needed. Contributes to the development and delivery of technical training for team members and customers. Collaborates with Product Management and Engineering to stay informed of product updates and support go-to-market initiatives. Assists in maintaining product documentation and technical sales tools. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Continuous Improvement Collaborates with Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Service to ensure alignment across departments. Participates in process improvement initiatives and helps implement changes that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. Supports the development and maintenance of training materials, sales tools, and documentation for internal use.
