Duties, Responsibilities & Other

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our HR team for the summer. This role will report directly to the Director of Human Resources and provide hands-on exposure to a variety of HR functions, including onboarding, employee engagement, and HR operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in gaining practical HR experience in a professional environment. Summer interns will work a 40-hour week, with at least 10 weeks of work required during the period from mid-May to the end of August. Interns will be assigned a dedicated supervisor and mentor, are required to attend planned activities, and must submit mid-summer and end-of-summer reports/presentations. Responsibilities include:

 

  • Support onboarding activities for new hires, including preparing onboarding materials and coordinating orientation logistics
  • Help maintain and organize employee files and HR documentation in accordance with company policies
  • Assist with HR data entry and tracking using HR systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, events, and internal communications
  • Assist with special HR projects as assigned by the Director of HR
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department as needed

 

Qualifications

  • Pursuing degrees in the following fields: Business, Marketing, Computer Sciences, Human Resources, Communications, Finance or related fields
  • High School diploma
  • Valid Driver’s license  
  • Cumulative GPA: 2.75 or higher 
  • Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment.
