Work Group Lead – Structural Steel Modular ExpertKBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.
KBR is looking for a Work Group Lead – Structural Steel Modular Expert to join our downtown Houston based team!
Functional job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the design of complex steel Structure modules.
- Supervises and leads a group of engineers.
- Responsible for executing according to project specifications, quality standards, budget, and schedule requirements.
- Primary liaison between Client, KBR, and Modular steel fabricator
- Devises new approaches to problems encountered.
- Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include various complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of traditional materials, and complex coordination requirements.
- Provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil / Structural Engineering
- 12+ years of structural experience with an EPC company, with average experience ranging from 15-20 years.
- Proven experience in the design and transportation of Steel Structure Modules, 3,000 + Ton Process Modules.
- Execution of large-scale LNG projects with modularization strategies.
- Requires sufficient professional experience to assure competence as a fully trained professional.
- Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer is preferred.
