Job Summary

In the role of an entry-level Associate Tool and Gage Technician, your responsibilities include calibrating and adjusting gages to adhere to the standards set by the manufacturing, assembly, and test departments. You are also responsible for managing electronic inventory records through SAP or similar systems, as well as maintaining accurate calibration records for all gages issued, returned, or serviced by internal departments such as Metrology and external vendors.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ability to use gage blocks, horizontal trimos, and other gage setting devices.
  • Manage the receiving, storing, handling, issuing, and distribution of perishable tooling, fixtures, gages, shop supplies, and safety items (PPE).
  • Ability to take direction and work in a team environment, engaging with both internal and external associates.
  • Frequent heavy lifting and prolonged standing.

Basic Qualifications

  •  Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  •  High School Diploma or equivalent
  •  Reliable Transportation
  •  Customer Service Oriented
  • Ability to work some overtime and occasional weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

  •  Knowledge with SAP
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  •  Knowledge of Compounds: paint, chemicals, etc.
  •  Proficiency in gage setting, perishable cutting tools, grinding wheels, fixtures,     and abrasive products
  • Forklift certification or capability to acquire one
