Job Title: Production Control Clerk

 

Location: AFRC CRF Little Rock AFB

 

Task Description: Production Control Clerk (01270)

 

This position compiles and records production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production. May perform any combination of the following duties: compile and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures and using different word processing techniques. This Clerk calculates such factors as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates, using a computer, calculator, and/or spreadsheets. Additional tasks include: writing production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats, maintaining files of documents used and prepared, compiling detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products. This Clerk prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities, compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies charts production using chart, graph, or pegboard based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel. This Clerk also sorts and distributes work tickets or material and compute wages from employee time cards and post wage data on records used for preparation of payroll.

 

Skills and Knowledge: Personnel serving in this position should have a working knowledge of C-130 T56 engines, propellers, aviation support equipment maintenance, its function and application.

 

  • Must be knowledgeable of technical directives, Air Force aviation maintenance programs, and shall be knowledgeable of and understand basic supply procedures.
  • Production Control Clerk shall have experience writing with clarity and technical accuracy, and ensure adherence to all applicable policies and procedures.
  • Possess a high degree of expertise in the control and coordination of maintenance support at the Intermediate and Depot level.
  • Thorough working knowledge of applicable maintenance/technical manuals and publications.
  • Working understanding of the C-130 T56 engines, propellers, and ground support equipment systems/subsystems as it relates to production control.

 

 

Task Requirements:

  • Process, track and file work orders throughout the production process. Compile maintenance records for a wide variety of equipment categories to include; aviation support equipment, industrial and commercial equipment. Specialized tooling and material handling equipment.
  • Track and maintain detailed records of material requirements and usage throughout the procurement process to include delivery and staging of material..
  • Perform accurate and detailed record keeping for maintenance records and historical files to include scheduled maintenance, upgrades, modification, rework and replacement of repairable components.
  • Provide accurate and up to date data to the Quality Assurance Representative (QAR), Site Supervisor and provide current and accurate status of equipment.
  • Maintain charts/status board reflecting real time equipment status throughout the repair process.
  • Maintain current access to the various types of software required for maintenance, man-hour and status tracking, material procurement and HAZMAT processing. 
  • Screen and verify initial material requirement and track requisition of repair parts, materials, and consumable supplies through supply system.
  • Responsible for general housekeeping and organization of work area to provide a clean, safe, and FOD free environment.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six or more years’ recent experience as Production Control Clerk.  
  • Four or more years’ experience supporting C-130 T56/Propeller Intermediate and Depot level maintenance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be familiar production control procedures.
  • Must have recent experience as Production Control Clerk.
  • Familiarity with Hazardous Material Handling and general shop procedures.
  • Familiarity and ability to use commercial and military technical manuals.
  • Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift schedule if required.
  • Must be able work flexible work-week schedules i.e. M-F or as required.
  • Must be eligible for a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must be able to obtain favorable National Agency Check with Written Inquires (NACI).

 

Compensation

$29.40/hour

 

Other Compensation

Employees receive a minimum health and welfare benefit of $7.00 per hour paid up to 40 hours per week.

Employees are offered medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in KAI’s 401k plan.  KAI employees at Little Rock AFB T-56 have 11 paid holidays. After completing one year of service, employees will have 88 hours of PTO.

 

Employment is contingent on (a) your ability to provide appropriate proof of your identity and eligibility to work in the United States; (b) your references and any background check being satisfactory to the Company; (c) you successfully passing a pre-employment drug test; and (d) your ability to get a required clearance by your effective start date, if needed; and (e) KAI commencing performance on this contract.
