Job Title: Aviation Supply Specialist

 

Task Description: Supply Technician (01410): 

 

This position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work requires consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines. Assignments require: (a) a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; (b) an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and (c) analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.

 

Shall be proficient performing all operator, data entry, and retrieval functions. Transmits and receives data via disk, modem, and other electronic means. Extracts data, formulates and interprets management reports, creates archives, backups, and data saves in support of deployments and detachment operations. Performs a wide range of administrative and financial duties within the Material Control Division such as preparing reports and correspondence, filing and typing. Performs tool room management IAW Tool Control Program (acting as Tool Control Program Coordinator), Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) Program, and Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL) Program Coordinator. Performs Hazardous Material Control and Management Supervisor requirements.

 

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Must have a good working knowledge of U.S.M.C. policies, methods, and technical publications
  • Must be familiar with manual and automated methods of supply administration
  • Must have a working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines
  • Overall knowledge of a complete supply system to include research, stock control, demand processing, issuing, storage, and handling of supplies and equipment

Task Requirements:

 

  • Material Control Services: The Contractor shall perform clerical and administrative duties in support of the activity’s Material Control division. The Government will maintain overall responsibility and management of the Material Control Division to include execution of activity’s Operational Target (OPTAR) and Aviation Fleet Maintenance (AFM) funding requirements. Contractor’s support of the Material Control Division requirements includes:

 

  • Order and receive aircraft parts and material
  • Expediting repairable and consumable material requisitions through the supply system and informing Maintenance Control on status changes
  • Prepare Transmittal Listings as required by TYCOM.
  • Maintain pack-up and pre-expended bin inventories
  • Provide daily Aircraft Material Readiness Report updates and reconciliation to parent command
  • Perform Hazardous Material Control and Management Supervisor functions

 

  • Coordinates limited aspects of technical supply related to local supply activities.
  • Responsible for maintaining material requirements list, inventories, bench stock (expendable items), critical items list, receipt, storage and issue records, coordinates, processes and expedites supply transactions.
  • Orders parts as defined by Aircraft Mechanics and Technical Manuals.
  • Determines and forecasts material requirements, and establishes minimum stock levels.
  • Prepares documentation necessary for turn-in or repair of repairable components.
  • Analyzes to define or recognize the dimension of problems involved, collects the necessary data to establish the facts, and takes or recommends action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SE Asset Manager Course (C-555-0026)
  • Seven (7) or more years’ experience in supply functions
  • Experience using U.S.M.C. computer supply systems

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Four (4) years’ of OOMA/NALCOMIS and supply chain material management skills or equivalent experience
  • Must be able to work 1stor 2nd shift 3rd and weekend shift
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule Mon-Fri ,Sun-Thur and Fri-Mon as required
  • Must be able to pass background check
  • Must be able to obtain favorable National Agency Check with Written Inquires (NACI), IAW DTM-08-003 “Next Generation Common Access Card (CAC) Implementation Guidance as required for the position.

 

Compensation

$35.70/hour

 

Other Compensation

Employees will receive a minimum health and welfare fringe benefit of $2.65 for every hour paid up to 40 hours per week.

Employees are offered medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in KAI’s 401k plan.  Employees have a minimum of eleven paid holidays.  After completing one year of service, employees will have two weeks paid vacation.

 

Employment is contingent on (a) your ability to provide appropriate proof of your identity and eligibility to work in the United States; (b) your references and any background check being satisfactory to the Company; (c) you successfully passing a pre-employment drug test; and (d) your ability to get a required clearance by your effective start date, if needed; and (e) KAI commencing performance on this contract.
