The Vice President, Human Resources is a key member of the Kaweah Health Executive team and is administratively responsible for providing leadership and direction for the Human Resources for Kaweah Health. The VP H.R. will assess and refine human resources strategies and practices that focus on enhancing employee engagement and creating an ideal work environment for all staff.

Required: Five years of healthcare related HR executive leadership experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential

Responsible for providing executive leadership to the following functions:

HUMAN RESOURCES – Recruitment, Retention, Employee Relations, Compensation, Benefits, Employee Records, HRIS, TJC, and CDPH: Plans and develops recruitment to meet the needs of Kaweah Health. Plans and administers market competitive, cost effective, and legally compliant benefits, insurance plans, and retirement plans. Responsible for monitoring employee satisfaction and retention programs. Responsible for all employee relation's issues including coaching, counseling, training, discipline, termination, grievances, and regulatory charges, claims and/or lawsuits made. Responsible for assuring market competitive, effective and cost-effective salary grades and wages as well as special pay programs. Responsible for Kaweah Health sponsored recognition events and programs that benefit employees.

ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT- Kaweah Care Culture

Responsible for staff education and training function including orientation, in-services and training, and leadership development. Proposes leadership position/incumbent changes to ensure that Kaweah Health has ongoing improving leadership competencies. This includes recommendations for succession planning for the Executive Team and Directors.

EMPLOYEE HEALTH SERVICES: Directs effective and well-functioning Employee Health services for Kaweah Health. Assures a pro-active Workers' Compensation program with established goals for injury reduction.

KAWEAH KIDS CENTER: Assures a well-managed, positive program is provided at Kaweah Kids Center.

Additional

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.
