We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Specialist to join our growing sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing leads, nurturing client relationships, and closing sales — all from within the office or remotely. You will play a key role in expanding our customer base and driving revenue growth.


Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within your assigned geographic territory through outbound prospecting, phone calls, email, social media, and occasional in-person meetings.
  • Participate in industry associations and events to increase brand awareness and position Kastle favorably in the marketplace.
  • Conduct on-site physical surveys of outdoor industrial facilities to understand client needs and design tailored security system solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales engineers and operational teams to develop comprehensive proposals that meet client requirements.
  • Meet and exceed sales quotas and revenue goals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system, manage pipeline activity, and report on key sales metrics.
  • Present Kastle’s outdoor video solutions to executive-level decision-makers using consultative selling techniques.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of sales experience, preferably in a business-to-business or technology sales role.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong prospecting skills with the ability to independently drive new business activity.
  • Previous experience or familiarity with industrial markets such as scrap metal, auto auctions, waste management, building suppliers, or construction is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Confident presenting solutions and value propositions to executives and business owners.
  • Ability to manage complex sales cycles and navigate multiple decision-makers.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), and the ability to learn proprietary tools.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Ability to travel locally within the assigned territory as needed (limited overnight travel).
