About this role

Job Title: Tollgate Attendant                        

                                               

Job Summary: Tollgate Cashiers are the first Royals associates encountered by the guests as they enter the complex. Each vehicle must be stopped upon entering the complex. It is the responsibility of the tollgate cashiers to become knowledgeable of the traffic patterns, parking lots and seating areas. 

 

Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Greet each guest in a friendly and welcoming way as they approach the tollgates. 
  • Have a working knowledge of the “Royal Way” guest services program and a comprehensive knowledge of the traffic patterns, parking lots and stadium seating areas. 
  • Check each vehicle for the proper parking credential.  This could be Prepaid Parking, Employee ID Badge, Aramark Staff, Media & Scouts, Royals Players & Staff, Medical Personnel, Deliveries, or Ride Share vehicles. 
  • Scan the appropriate bar code for every vehicle entering the complex. 
  • Scan credit/debit cards for payment at the gate. 
  • Helps direct some vehicles to the appropriate tollgate lane. 
  • Assists with general clean-up of tollgate work areas. 
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Position Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time. 
  • Must be able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. 
  • Must be able to operate an electronic scanning device. 
  • Must be able to work all Royals home games 
  • Available to work flexible hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays. 
  • Must be reliable and be able to follow specific job duties.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must undergo and pass a background check. 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift items weighing as much as 15 pounds
  • Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times
  • Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, concourse, etc.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit for long periods of time; walk; use hands, handle, or feel.
