We start our unlicensed technicians at $15, then reward them with a merit increase of $2 upon becoming licensed. We have an established licensing process for our unlicensed technicians to help them grow in the world of pharmacy and become fully licensed. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN A PHARMACY TECHNICIAN
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in filling prescriptions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills through on-the-job training
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to pharmacy regulations
- Experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is preferred but not required
YOUR NEW ROLE AS OUR LICENSED PHARMACY TECHNICIAN or TECHNICIAN TRAINEE
This is a full-time position typically working five 8-hour shifts (8:00am-6:00pm)
In this Pharmacy Technician or Technician Trainee position, you are responsible for accurately filling prescriptions for residents in long-term care facilities. Our training program is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to work towards obtaining your license.

About Kalamazoo Long Term Care Pharmacy
Kalamazoo Long Term Care Pharmacy provides pharmaceutical services to assisted living, skilled living, adult foster care, mental health, and PACE programs throughout Michigan.
As a long term care pharmacy, the processes are handled differently than that of a retail pharmacy. The location is closed to walk-in patients. Our technicians are split into two groups. Input and production with room to grow and advance for all of our technicians. Our input team enters orders, communicates with physicians and facilities, and orchestrates medication refills, labs, and STAT orders. Our production team packages the medication in blister cards, bottles, compliance packages, robotic packaging, and medication wheels.
As a company, we continue to evolve and try out new ways to keep a fun and caring environment for staff and our customers. We offer a bi-annual profit-sharing program for employees.
