About the Role
Galesburg Pharmacy is seeking a dependable and patient-focused PRN Retail Pharmacist to support our pharmacy team. This role is ideal for a pharmacist looking for consistent Saturday hours with the opportunity to pick up additional weekday shifts as needed.
You'll play a vital role in providing safe, accurate, and friendly pharmacy services while supporting the health and well-being of our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescriptions in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Provide counseling and medication education to patients
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and appropriate therapy
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Deliver exceptional customer service in a community-focused retail setting
Schedule
- Required: Saturdays from 8:00am to 1:00pm
- Optional/As Needed: Weekday shifts Monday-Friday between 8:00am and 6:00pm
Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
- Active, unrestricted pharmacist license from the State of Michigan
- Retail pharmacy experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication skills and patient-centered approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

About Kalamazoo Long Term Care Pharmacy
Kalamazoo Long Term Care Pharmacy provides pharmaceutical services to assisted living, skilled living, adult foster care, mental health, and PACE programs throughout Michigan.
As a long term care pharmacy, the processes are handled differently than that of a retail pharmacy. The location is closed to walk-in patients. Our technicians are split into two groups. Input and production with room to grow and advance for all of our technicians. Our input team enters orders, communicates with physicians and facilities, and orchestrates medication refills, labs, and STAT orders. Our production team packages the medication in blister cards, bottles, compliance packages, robotic packaging, and medication wheels.
