Job Summary:
The NATIONAL ACCOUNTS CLERK works under the direction of the National Accounts Supervisor; process NAB credits and chargeback’s for K&M Tire Inc; assist in answering the phone and greeting visitors; search for proof of deliveries; match statements; filing; perform various miscellaneous tasks; back up for mail run; cross-train within department; work with Supervisor.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process NAB credits and chargeback’s; accurately enter invoices and offset corresponding AR invoices.
- A/P data Entry
- National Account & Car Dealer Billing
- Freight billing.
- Back up for phones, greeting customers and doing mail run when needed.
- Assist in searching and submitting proofs of deliveries as requested by the manufacturers.
- Match statements; indicate missing invoices.
- Pass National Account credits to customers.
- Perform various filing duties.
- Perform various miscellaneous tasks; process typing or mailings given by the National Accounts Supervisor.
- Assist others in the department; support company goals.
- Cross-train within department; keep procedures up to date; ensure department consistency.
- Work with and report any problems to the National Accounts Supervisor.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles, spreadsheets and bookkeeping.
- Ability to work in a multi-task, professional environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Possess a friendly and helpful attitude.
- Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work while seated for prolonged periods of time.
- Knowledge and ability to use the following office equipment: computer, telephone, copier, fax, and calculator.
- Ability to express ideas clearly both in written and oral communications.
Minimum Qualifications:
Twelve years of general education or equivalent.
2-year accounting degree or experience
