The Opportunity:

Reporting to the State Manager, the Transport Allocator will collaborate closely with branch operations and will be responsible for efficient daily planning, allocation and coordination of freight movements across the NSW metropolitan, regional and interstate routes.

This role is best suited for someone who demonstrates skills necessary to optimise trucks and driver utilisation and deliver exceptional services to customers.

Responsibilities:

•          Plan, schedule, and allocate local and linehaul runs across the national network
•          Maximise utilization of fleet to achieve optimal efficiency
•          Building and maintaining a strong customer relationship
•          Maintain accurate records, manifests, PODs and driver run sheets.
•          Manage compliance with fatigue, safety and COR requirements
•          Resolve operational issues quickly and professionally
•          Oversee driver training

Success Profile:

•          Previous experience in a similar role & industry
•          Knowledge and monitoring of fatigue and mass in accordance with legislative requirements.
•          Understanding of the Chain of Responsibility.
•          Strong attention to detail and time management
•          Fantastic customer service skills
•          Ability to multitask and adapt to changing situations and remain calm under pressure
•          Knowledge of rail and wharf transport along with One Stop an advantage.
