YOUR CHALLENGE

General description

Global Products & Solutions (GPS) plays a central role in shaping client-focused investment strategies, developing innovative financial products, and providing expert advisory across all major asset classes. Our GPS Technology team aims to strategically develop, strengthen and align the software engineering expertise and implement state of the art platforms covering Execution, Sales and Trading.

The GPS Associate Programme is a structured, two-year development journey designed for ambitious early-career professionals aiming to build a technology career in private banking.

As part of the GPS Technology team within GPS Platform & Services in Singapore, the individual will embark on a dynamic 24-month programme combining rotational assignments, intensive training, mentorship and project and task responsibilities. Through hands-on experience and continuous learning, the individual will develop the skills, network, and business acumen necessary to transition into a permanent role as a Market Data Support within GPS upon successful completion.

During the programme, the individual will rotate through 2 teams within GPS, gaining broad exposure to deliver solutions that generate value, drive digitalisation, improve efficiency and mitigate risks. Further, the individual will have the opportunity to work directly with the technologist and platform specialist for career guidance and developing expertise in Market Data technology.

  • Build highly impactful relationships with global and regional stakeholders across functions in the Bank

Business management

  • Contribute to the maintenance of Market Data Platform including feeds, distribution infrastructure, entitlement system and market data API
  • Participate in automation effort by proposing and developing scripts
  • Contribute to the onboarding of our application to common platforms (e.g. Observability Testing Framework, CI/CD platform)
  • Contribute to the documentation effort of our platform and services

Regulatory responsibilities &/or risk management

  • Meet all legal, regulatory, and compliance standards/requirements
  • Adhere to the standards and expectations outlined in the relevant user manuals and guidelines
  • Demonstrate appropriate values and behaviours including, but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Personal & social

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

  • Fluency in English, additional languages are an advantage
  • Eligibility to work in the country of application throughout the duration of the programme

Professional & technical

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • 2-3 years of professional experience (including internships)
  • Knowledge and experience in one or more of the below domains:
    • Linux operating system administration
    • Scripting skills (e.g. bash, Python)
    • Programming skills
  • Experience with market data vendors (e.g. LSEG/Reuters, Bloomberg, Marketmap) and their products and data
  • Understanding of financial products
  • Experience in front office and finance industry is preferrable
