General Purpose:

  • Provide the highest quality food and beverage services to residents, guests, and employees
  • Demonstrate excellent customer services skills at all times
  • Provide service during breakfast, lunch, dinner, special functions, and catered events

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pre meal set-ups of condiments, beverages, salads soups, desserts.
  • Serve food in a timely, attractive, efficient and sanitary manner.
  • Treat residents, guests, and fellow employees with respect and courtesy. Monitor customers in section and be attentive to their needs.
  • Assure a clean and pleasant environment by performing daily and special cleaning assignments.
  • Provide a pleasant dining experience for guests by working with others.
  • Knowledge of food items being offered to assist guests in their dining selections.
  • Assist in setting up all special events. (At times you may be asked to serve at the events).
  • Bus tables when guests have left the table.
  • Serve 1 table at a time, making sure that all guests at one table are served before moving on to the next.
  • Reset all tables in section with linen, silverware, china and glassware for next meal.
  • Replenish table supplies (crackers, salt, pepper, sugar, comment cards and sharpened pencils).
  • When possible, assist in seating and transporting residents if your help is needed.
  • Always follow the proper rules of dining room etiquette.
  • Assist in keeping all coolers, freezers, and storage areas cleaned and organized. Follow the FIFO method and cover, label, and date all food.
  • Adhere to all department HACCP procedures including all services standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary work area by performing daily and special cleaning assignments.
  • Perform weekly, monthly, and annual cleaning procedures as assigned by the Manager.
  • Attend daily pre-service meeting, all training meetings, and safety meetings.
  • Maintain a record of acceptable attendance and punctuality.
  • Adhere to all Department policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks. 
  • Experience handling a variety of foods, using kitchen equipment, and advance kitchen sanitation procedures.
  • Basic math, reading and writing skills.

Physical Requirements. 

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
  • Physical demands may include kneeling, climbing ladders, reaching, pushing, manipulating, talking, hearing, standing for extended periods, crouching, stooping, walking, lifting up to 40 lbs. and repetitive motion.
