Production Team Lead

This individual will lead the production team on shift to ensure the highest possible Safety, Quality & Efficiency.
Manage personnel and daily production line operation of the subordinate cell according to the company regulations, while also driving all other Key Performance Indicators relevant to Make Pack. To support in the development of the local team & share JTI knowledge. Ensure fair two-way communication among factory management and all subordinates.

Position Responsibilities:

• Cell Operation
  • Act as the owner of the assigned cell. Manage and supervise MP designated line pair shift operation, responsible for effective management and performance of employee work- and machine run-time, timely completion of production tasks and maintaining work discipline in the course of production line.
  • Responsible for machine operation, safety inspection, adjustment, troubleshooting, product inspection and other related production line operations. During working hours, it is necessary to stand/walk around the production line for a long time and carry heavy objects with bare hands.
  • Develops vacation schedule of subordinate employees taking into consideration the business and employee's needs.
  • Leads daily shift handover, line activities (ex: Brand Change, Clean-Inspect-Lubricate, stock count) & line meeting to agree on shift and day priorities planned
• Cell Improvement
  • Participates in cause analyses of deficiencies and complaints, proactively initiates action and active participation in quality and efficiency improvement in a subordinate area.
  • Execute various improvement projects in accordance with company and supervisor's instructions. Lead Cell members to provide suggestions for improvement in safety, quality, spare parts cost and operation; also participate in relevant investigations and action plans to achieve continuous improvement goals
• Cell Development
  • Develops and implements of documentation relevant to complete assigned tasks, along with quality system documentation in the operation field, taking into consideration updates of these documents; responsible for subordinate personnel's compliance with implemented procedures.
  • Responsible for subordinate employees work time calculation incl. attendance lists, overtime.
• Environment, Health and Safety (for all shopfloor colleagues):
  • Ensure health and safety aspects at work and learn about potential hazards, know and maintain required control measures in order to keep the workplace healthy and safe.
  • Ensure compliance to the JTI health and safety requirements associated with the work hazards, comply with all applicable health and safety rules and procedures as well as the cooperation on the continuous improvement process.
  • Demonstrate safe behavior, report incidents and near misses to their supervisor, report identified unsafe conditions and behaviors to the supervisor and carry out any measures to eliminate them
• People development
  • Recruit, motivate and guide the professional development of the team reporting directly and indirectly to the incumbent.

Requirements:

• Secondary education.  Completion of technical/vocational training.
• Minimum 2+ year experience in machine operation in a production environment, prefereably with an LCO / IWS Team Leader background. Experience with JTI systems such as GLA, QIMs, GSCA etc. Knowledge on IWS principles and routine.
• Fluency in English (Oral and written).
• Basic PC skills (MS Office applications) & SAP and spare parts ordering.
