Key Skills & Responsibilities
Equipment Operation Skills
- Operate a front-end loader to feed the aggregate processing plant.
- Perform pre-shift inspections and daily equipment safety checks.
- Occasionally operate a programmable logic controller (PLC) system for plant processes.
Mechanical & Maintenance Skills
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plant equipment.
- Replace or repair conveyor systems, screens, and other mechanical components.
- Fabricate and weld parts as needed.
- Safely operate various power and hand tools, including cutting tools.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
Workplace & Safety Skills
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and operational procedures.
- Identify and communicate potential hazards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Previous heavy equipment operating experience (preferred).
- Mechanical aptitude with proven repair/maintenance skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet production goals.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in outdoor conditions, including extreme weather.
- Ability to climb stairs/ladders up to 24 feet.
- Flexible schedule with availability for overtime and weekends if needed.
