Boden, a British clothing retailer with a Distribution Center in Pittston, PA started with a shirt. Well, eight to be precise. In 1991 when Johnnie Boden couldn't find a 'just right' shirt, he crafted them himself from his kitchen table. Years later and he's fronting a major British clothing brand. It took hard work, determination - countless cups of tea - and brand values that we still champion today; stylish, grounding, uplifting.
Boden Warehouse Associates work in an upbeat, fast-paced team environment while striving to deliver an amazing experience to shoppers by carrying out the following responsibilities:
Job Summary:
- Carry out various warehouse tasks to support the goal of fulfilling and processing customer orders in a timely and efficient manner while reflecting the Boden brand expectations.
Role Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of warehouse tasks that support meeting Boden customer needs
- Pick customer/wholesale orders
- Pack and ship customer/wholesale orders
- Process and refurbish returned merchandise
- Stock, audit, replenish, relocate and ticket merchandise
- Receive deliveries, unload and unpack merchandise
- Perform quality checks on garments
- Follow departmental processes as applicable to each area
- Meet and maintain set productivity goals
- Perform tasks accurately and timely, keeping error rates to a minimum
- Demonstrate acceptable workplace behaviors
- Maintain acceptable attendance standards
- Clean up and organize work areas to ensure a safe working environment
- Work collaboratively within a team environment
- Participate as an active and positive team member in all areas, improving efficiencies
- Have flexibility and willingness to perform a variety of tasks throughout the Warehouse
- Additional duties as needed and/or assigned
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Previous work experience in a warehouse environment, preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Familiarity with wireless handheld devices
- Ability to understand and adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures
Physical Requirements:
- Walking throughout the warehouse
- Standing in one location
- Lift/carry, push/pull up to 40 pounds
- Bending/squatting/twisting
- Reaching near floor level and at/above shoulder level
- Fine hand/finger manipulation with wrist/arm rotation
- Visual ability to read text on labels, pick sheets, computer screens, etc.
- Able to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment
- Additional duties as needed and/or assigned
Full Time, Day Shift position Monday through Friday, 6a-2:30p or 7am-3:30p. $18.00 per hour.

Contrarian. How else would you describe a man who left a good job in the city – working in New York during its shiny ’80s heyday no less – to set up a mail-order clothes company at a time when buying things that got delivered was considered a bit, well, joke-worthy? Or was he just lucky – right time, right place, right instinct?
Johnnie launched Boden with a hand-drawn catalogue featuring eight menswear styles he wanted in his own wardrobe (and wanted to order from his armchair). That was 1991, and back then, catalogues for stylish people who like stylish clothes weren’t really a ‘thing’ in Britain.
Today, after a wild, unpredictable and exciting 30 years, Boden is a global company but it still has the same family vibes. It’s the opinion of the women in his life – his wife Sophie (who pushed him to follow his dream in the first place), his three discerning daughters and Johnnie’s new lovely female sidekick – Janet the dog – that he values over anything.
Originality is also so very important, with every step taken to set Boden apart from the rest. Whether that’s hand-drawn prints, doing our best to make sure we don’t cut corners and even listing words we cannot use (we copywriters love a challenge). Attention to detail is everything, and it shows. Johnnie has also been adamant that every factory we use respects its workforce in the same way he respects his workforce at home. And that Boden uses as many recycled materials as possible.
“His main piece of advice is always be yourself,” his daughter Katie adds. “I think we’re all flawed but that’s the one thing that we [the family] are – very honest. I just think you can’t go wrong by being honest.” And lastly? “He’s also never tried to be cool…which makes him cool.”
Boden isn’t about fast fashion and fads. It never was. It’s about making clothes that put a smile on your face, for a long, long time.

- Warehouse Associates perform various tasks to fulfill and process customer orders efficiently while maintaining Boden's brand expectations. Responsibilities include picking, packing, shipping orders, processing returns, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
