Project Manager - Heavy Civils

We have an award-winning reputation, industry leading safety culture and have had the privilege to be a part of some of the most critical infrastructure projects taking place today.<br></p><p><br></p><p>Key Accountabilities</p><p>Ensure the site is run in a safe and efficient manner that reflects the high standards that Joseph Gallagher Ltd are renowned for.</p><p>Ensure the commercial performance of the contract is maximised</p><p>Produce procurement schedules and liaise with the procurement department to ensure sites have adequate resources to complete the tasks</p><p>Continually forecasting, keeping the team informed of forecasts and changes and managing the scope meticulously, so knowing the costs for unplanned construction work or resources and keeping that set-aside.</p><p>Reporting Risk and Opportunities to the senior management team.</p><p>Deliver the work to the specified quality without defects. Ensure production and implementation of Project Plans, RAMS, ITP’s and waste management plans, in line with Company procedures</p><p>Ensure detailed site diaries/records are completed. Maintain commercial tension to drive out cost and challenge the status quo</p><p><br></p><p>Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications</p><p>Experience of <span style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0);font-family:Calibri;font-size:14.6667px;font-style:normal;font-weight:400;letter-spacing:normal;text-align:start;text-indent:0px;white-space:pre-wrap;background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);float:none;display:inline !important;">Cofferdams, Backfill, Clean Water pipework installation and Heavy Civils</span></p><p>A broad civil background would be an advantage.</p><p>Proficient in NEC contracts, contract and change management</p><p>Experienced in Design Management Programme &amp; Risk Management, Production of CVR, incl cost control, forecasting and value assessment</p><p>Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent</p><p>SMSTS</p><p>Ability to challenge designs and resolve problems to conclusion</p><p>Ability to manage and deliver a successful project with minimal guidance.</p><p>Degree qualified as a minimum.</p><p></p><p><strong>Company Background&nbsp;<br></strong>The Joseph Gallagher Group is a family owned Civil Engineering&nbsp;business that delivers expertise whilst putting client satisfaction at the core of the business.
