The Data Operations & Access Management Specialist provides support across a broad range of business management, data integrity, access governance, and operational reporting activities. The team ensures data consistency, system hygiene, compliance with internal controls, and timely reporting across multiple business processes.
You will join our Pharmaceutical business and gain exposure to business operations, data governance, reporting, analytics, and cross-functional stakeholder management.
As part of the Global Medical Safety (GMS) organisation, this role also provides visibility into several pharmacovigilance‑adjacent activities, including data quality processes, safety‑related reporting, and interactions with global safety systems. While the position does not require prior pharmacovigilance knowledge, students will gain indirect exposure to PV operations and supporting activities that contribute to patient safety.
This is an office‑based role with global reach, collaborating with colleagues across multiple departments, functions, and countries.
This placement offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of data quality, systems access management, operational reporting, and governance, supporting multiple business-critical processes while developing hands-on experience with industry‑standard digital tools (Excel, SharePoint, Power Platform, Power BI).
Main duties and responsibilities:
Perform data reconciliation and quality checks to ensure consistency, completeness, and accuracy across multiple systems
Act as a point of contact for data‑related queries and support updates to key data attributes (e.g., cities, states)
Support periodic access governance cycles, including role‑based access reviews and ad hoc access‑change requests
Review, prepare, and manage annual access files, including role sorting, identifying relevant approvers, and communicating outcomes
Coordinate and process bulk onboarding requests, including submission of system access requests and related support items
Participate in training reconciliation activities, including data review and stakeholder follow‑ups
Manage and process SharePoint and shared‑drive access requests, ensuring appropriate governance of shared content
Prepare and deliver recurring operational reports, including LMS vendor staff reporting and product‑specific monthly volume reports
Support weekly “Out of Cycle” reporting by preparing files, liaising with vendors, and consolidating response comments
Perform PQC referral timeliness reporting, including vendor coordination and maintaining accurate summary files
Prepare SUSAR notification reports, consolidate feedback, determine scoring categories, and liaise with business stakeholders
Conduct quarterly analytics activities, including QLIK data pulls, trend analysis, and updating PowerPoint summaries
Contribute to workflow trending analysis and associated reporting (where applicable)
Collaborate with cross‑functional global teams and contribute to onboarding, knowledge transfer, and student cohort engagement activities
Requirements of the role:
2 years of degree-level study completed
A minimum of 2:1 achieved in first year of study
Preferred degrees: Data, Business, Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, STEM, or other relevant fields

Technical Skills
Advanced Excel capability, including Pivot Tables, lookups
SharePoint: ability to manage access, update libraries, and maintain shared structures
Power Apps & Power Automate (preferred): ability to support or build simple workflows/automation
Power BI (preferred): ability to support dashboard updates or data modelling
