About this role

ABOUT THE ROLE

In addition to your contractual pay, any time worked between 18:00 - 22:00 will attract an Evening Premium at a rate of £3.00 per hour, and any time worked between 22:00 - 06:00 will attract a Night Premium at a rate of £4.00 per hour. This will also apply to existing Partners who have enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.

Salary: The salary offered for this role is up to £54,000, depending on skills and experience,  plus overtime is readily available.

Working Hours: Full time role, 37.5 hours per week on a 2 week rota, plus working 1 in 2 Saturdays mornings, at premium overtime rate.

  • Week 1: Monday to Friday - 06:00-14:00

  • Week 2: Monday to Friday - 14:00-22:00 

Contract type: This is a permanent role

About Role

● To carry out scheduled repair and maintenance of the on site E commerce light commercial fleet.

● To carry out repair and maintenance of outlying commercial and light commercial vehicles

for John Lewis and Waitrose branches and CDHs.

● You’ll be aware of best practices and current commercial vehicle repair techniques, to deliver high-quality repairs are carried out in a cost-effective manner and that the use of spare parts and consumables reflects the level of work carried out.

Essential Experience/Qualifications required:

  • City and Guilds Level 3 Vehicle technician or equivalent qualifications

  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence

  • A proven background in transport commercial vehicle repairs

  • Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness

Desirable Skills:

  • IRTEC

  • LGV C+E Driving Licence
