This position is eligible for remote work at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.  

 

Your Responsibilities

 

As a Senior Engineer for JD Intelligent Solutions Group Urbandale located in Urbandale, IA, you will:

 

  • Work on the Equipment Manager within Ops Center
  • Develop and Support high quality JD ISG Applications like TRS  / OCE using React.js / Java
  • Engage in all aspects of SW Delivery including design, build, test, deploy and support SW Applications
  • Support a culture of Software engineering best practices like test automation, CI/CD, Devops
  • Mentor Junior engineers and contingents through code pairing and tech coaching and collaborating with Product Managers
  • Engage in Agile sw development activities 

 

This position is open to remote work for the right candidate, however preference is for candidates who are located in the Urbandale or Des Moines area who are able to come in office as needed.

What Skills You Need

 

  • 4 or more years of combined experience with JS, React.js, Java / Node.js in building web clinet and / or server side services
  • 3 or more years of experience with AWS Cloud platforms
  • 4 or more years of experience in test driven development, CI/CD, Acceptance / Contract test development
  • 4 or more years of experience in Agile delivery methodologies
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience in interpersonal communication and working in a team environment 

 

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Experience in multiple programming languages / frameworks like redux, Mobx, Spring, Java etc.
  • AWS Services like EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3
  • Experience in Precision Ag Technologies
  • Advanced Engineering degree 

 

Education

 

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or other IT related discipline
