The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.

Your Responsibilities

 

 

As a Part-Time Student - Software Engineering/Cyber Security on the Cloud IAM team located in Ames, IA, you will:

 

Be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust cloud security infrastructure on AWS and Microsoft Azure. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and security of our cloud-based systems and data.

Your Responsibilities:
• Be a technical member of an agile software team and contribute to feature delivery.
• Drive automation and efficiency in cloud IAM/RBAC processes and procedures.
• Identify emerging security threats and recommend proactive measures to mitigate risks.

What Makes You Stand Out

 

 

• Experience with Python, test driven development.
• Experience building and deploying applications/infrastructure in AWS or Azure.
• Professional certifications related to security, AWS or Azure.
• Understanding of network protocols, encryption technologies, and access control in cloud environments.
• Experience with security assessment tools, vulnerability management, and incident response.

 

 

Education

 

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

• Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a Technology related discipline; others may apply.
• Must be registered as a full-time student at an accredited university.
• Graduation date of Dec 2026 or later with a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.
