As the Manager, International Risk Analytics for John Deere Financial, you will lead a team of data science professionals, analyzing international portfolio trends to evaluate credit quality and portfolio performance. You will oversee the team in monitoring the performance of credit scoring systems & decision strategies and recommending the development of new tools as appropriate. Your efforts will involve working with large data sets and applying statistical methodologies. 

Major Duties

• Coordinate with international credit operations leaders to identify opportunities and business needs, prioritize team activities, ensure execution in support of agreed upon objectives and schedules
• Participate in business partner meetings, brainstorming sessions, and workshops to capture business objectives and prioritize opportunities.
• Investigate potential areas of concern and communicate results of analysis to senior management.
• Lead the team as they build, test, deploy and manage credit scoring models, auto-decision strategies, and other risk assessment techniques to help manage portfolio risk and drive efficiency through automated credit decisions.
• Work with IT and Operations staff to establish requirements, determine needs, and build risk management data infrastructure.
• Work with data management tools to query complex relational databases.
• Participate in cross-functional projects for International Risk Analytics that may include new system implementations and the evaluation and deployment of new business processes.
• Work in an interactive environment with the support of a team of data scientists, catalysts, analytics engineers, and business intelligence analysts distributed across multiple countries.

• A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as data science, statistics, economics, or mathematics
  
  In addition we require:
• 6+ years of analytics experience
• 2+ years of experience supervising and directing people to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes
• Experience writing moderately complex queries to analyze data sets using languages such as SAS, Python, SQL, R, etc.
• Previous experience building predictive models through statistical modeling techniques such as logistic regression, survival analysis, time series, neural networks, machine learning, etc.
• The ability to develop and maintain relationships when faced with differences in language, culture, and time zones.
• Schedule flexibility to work early-morning or evening hours as necessary to interact with colleagues and internal customers across Europe, Asia & North America time zones.

What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience developing statistically-based predictive models for use in credit risk or financial applications.
• Experience performing statistical analysis of moderately complex structured and unstructured data from multiple sources that may not have common identifiers
• A Master's degree in statistics, economics, finance or a math discipline
• Experience leading cross-functional projects
• Familiarity with Databricks and GitHub
• Experience working with Agile teams, Scrum teams or Product teams
