Job Description

The Role:

The Project manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of specific time-bound projects & programs which have a beginning, an end and specified deliverables. The project manager is responsible for ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and within scope. She/He is also responsible for developing detailed project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and budgets. In addition to this, they are responsible for managing relationships with stakeholders and ensuring that all project requirements are met.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Maintain and track the integrated program plan, milestones, and deliverables across all streams (site rollouts, data, testing, etc.)
  • Own and drive the central RAID log, ensuring timely updates, escalations, and mitigation follow-up
  • Support the BA Leads and Test Manager in tracking SOP readiness, testing progress, and issue resolution
  • Coordinate vendor follow-ups, steering inputs, and site readiness reports
  • Consolidate weekly reporting inputs from BAs, PMO tools, and team leads for Steering Committees or leadership
  • Act as the delivery link between programme governance and site-level execution
  • Support Go/No-Go planning, cutover preparation, and execution checklists

Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any science related field.
  • Post graduate diploma in project planning or business administration will be an added advantage.
  • A certificate in project management is a plus.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Project Management
  • Experienced in Commodity Trading industry
  • Experienced in global solution implementations (Multi-sites, Multi-years, Multi-Commodities)

Languages:

  • Excellent knowledge of English (written and verbal communication skills)
  • Knowledge of any other language is a plus (French)

Other requirements: 

  • Require travelling
  • Require usage of Project management tools (Jira, Smartsheet)
  • Extended late working hours due to time zone constraints of the project (up till 8pm on a regular basis)
