Job Title: Operational Continuous Improvement Engineer

What this job involves:

The Operational Continuous Improvement Engineer identifies, develops, and implements process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs for Ethicon Operations at San Lorenzo & Manati. This role uses analytical and problem-solving skills to drive operational excellence by analyzing current processes, designing new ones, and monitoring performance through key performance indicators (KPIs). 
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
  • Conducting comprehensive analysis of current operational processes and workflows.
  • Identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Mapping current-state processes and designing future-state processes.
  • Developing and implementing standardized operating procedures.
  • Monitoring and supporting KPI adherence and recovery plans.
  • Driving continuous improvement (CI) culture and leading CI forums. 
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or a related field.
  • Proven experience in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar CI programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Experience with process mapping, analysis, and redesign.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and manage cross-functional teams. 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (e.g., Green Belt or Black Belt).
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with a manufacturing environment and operational workflows.
  • Experience implementing a CI culture and driving organizational change.
  • Knowledge of Ethicon or similar medical device operations.
