This Restoration Estimator is primarily responsible for estimating, negotiating loss, and settling insurance proceeds through contract ratification on projects up to $50,000 in contract value by performing the following duties.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Restoration Estimator duties will include, but are not limited to: Visit new job property and document the full scope of repairs while onsite Interface with clients and Insurance Adjusters throughout the estimating phase Create the written estimate for work in the estimating software selected by the insurance carrier, Xactimate or Symbility; or the default Jenkins estimating software, Xactimate, if the job is not insurance related Handle full negotiation of project through to estimate approval by insurance carrier or client Prepare construction contract Schedule and execute pre-construction meeting with client and Project Manager Assist Project Management team in producing change orders and supplements   SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Restoration Estimator has no supervisory responsibilities.   BENEFITS: Industry Leading Compensation Health, Dental and Vision Plans Employee stock options (ESOP) Tuition Reimbursement Plan Company iPhone 401k Plan QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Associates degree (A.A or A.S) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.   LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Demonstrate the ability to write routine reports, correspondence and the ability to speak effectively to customers and/or employees of organization.   COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of industry related software such as Xactanalysis, be able to “touch type” and be familiar with software like Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)   CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE: To perform this job successfully, experience in the construction industry is essential. Prior experience in managing or estimating projects would greatly improve chances for success at Jenkins Restorations.   REASONING ABILITY: Possess the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. This position will be based in an office environment with visits to residential construction work sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Safety equipment is furnished.
