About this role

Work on the 1-million sq. ft.  factory is now under way on the 400-acre site. It will be the company’s second largest plant, rivalled only by JCB’s world headquarters in Rocester, Staffordshire, England, and create 1,500 new jobs over five years. The factory will make Loadall telescopic handlers and aerial access equipment, with production scheduled to start in 2026. The factory will also have the capacity to expand and build other products in the future.

The Recruiting Supervisor will oversee day-to-day recruiting operations, ensuring the talent acquisition team meets hiring goals, service-level expectations, and delivers an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience. This role will assist in providing leadership, coaching, and process discipline while supporting the recruitment cycle for JCB North America.

 

Position Type: Full Time, Exempt

 

Objectives of this Role

  • Assist in supervising and mentoring recruiters, coordinators, and/or sources, providing guidance, feedback, and regular performance check-ins.
  • Assist with training team members on recruiting best practices, systems, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor daily workload distribution to ensure roles are prioritized appropriately and deadlines are met.
  • Support a culture of accountability, collaboration and efficiency.
  • Grows and fosters high-touch relationships with a database of qualified active and passive talent to pull from as new positions open up
  • Continuously partners with Human Resources team and senior managers to design, refine, and implement innovative recruiting strategies.
  • Ensure job postings are up to date and within compliance.
  • Actively confirms that job descriptions are up to date and within compliance.
  • Continuously improve tools, SOPs and workflows to increase efficiency.
  • Provide consultative support on the job requirements, market insight, and interview strategies.
  • Ensure recruiting processes are followed consistently, including documentation, candidate communication and compliance.

 

Daily and Weekly Responsibilities

  • Works and forms relationships with internal management teams to know the ins and outs of their departments and better understand their hiring needs and job specifications
  • Utilizes knowledge of multiple recruiting sources and execute innovative recruiting strategies to find quality candidates and prospects for new business
  • Screens resumes and prospects, qualifies, interviews, and manages candidates throughout the interview process from prepping before interviews to assisting with final offer negotiation
  • Follows up on interview process status and update records in an internal database

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of proven experience in recruitment and conducting various types of interviews (i.e., phone, video, etc.)
  • Leadership skills
  • Applicant Tracking System proficiency
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
  • Familiarity with job boards, and HR software, databases, and management systems

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing recruiting strategy
  • Desire to grow professionally with networking and ongoing training opportunities

 

Job Conditions

  • Both office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory environment
  • Subject to noise and temperature changes
