Maintenance Planner / Project Coordinator

Position Purpose

This position is responsible for supporting the Maintenance and Manufacturing areas in effective planning and project coordination to maximizing equipment uptime through proper corrective and preventive maintenance activities. 

 

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

  • Plan and schedule corrective / preventive maintenance activities by order of priority
  • Manage spare parts inventory levels and stock locations
  • Manage assets and OEM documentation within the maintenance management system
  • Train employees on how to use the maintenance management system
  • Assist with the coordination of plant-wide shutdown activities
  • Technical troubleshooting support and training on assembly, fabrication, facilities and paint system equipment.
  • Project management support for new installations and equipment refurbishment

 

Nature & Scope

  • Reports to Manager of Advance Manufacturing and Reliability

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must pass applicable drug screens, background checks and pre-employment tests
  • High School Diploma and 10 years of relative experience
  • 5-7 years Equipment and Facilities Maintenance experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • SAP / Maximo software experience
  • Preventive maintenance and equipment repair experience
  • Prior launch experience where capital improvements have been made
  • PFMEA, risk assessments on equipment and safety

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates degree in related technical field
  • 10 years of Equipment and Facilities Maintenance experience
  • 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Fabrication, Paint System and Welding equipment knowledge
  • AutoCAD software experience

  • Able to work effectively in a team environment through delegation
  • Effective at verbal and written communication
  • Manufacturing process knowledge in the areas of: Assembly, Fabrication and Paint
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Sound analytical skills with a practical balance of “shop floor” experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment as required


Physical Requirements

  • Flexible schedule sometimes required to support equipment repair and integration efforts.  This could include 12-hour shifts / 7 days a week
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10lbs, frequently and/or move up to 35lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to perform continuous, repetitious physical activities.  These activities may involve fine movements or large motions
  • Must be able to grasp/pinch small items, reach out and up, and turn wrist
  • Must be capable of keeping pace with current production speed
  • Must be able to push/pull with reasonable force
  • Must be able to perform the following requirements of bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work in multiple climates including: hot/cold temperatures, and dusty environment
