About this role

Work on the 1-million sq. ft.  factory is now under way on the 400-acre site. It will be the company’s second largest plant, rivalled only by JCB’s world headquarters in Rocester, Staffordshire, England, and create 1,500 new jobs over five years. The factory will make Loadall telescopic handlers and aerial access equipment, with production scheduled to start in 2026. The factory will also have the capacity to expand and build other products in the future.

Position Purpose

Self-motivated, experienced SAP CPI/PI developer to become part of the JCB SAP Development Team.

Full Time, Exempt

 

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

  • To support the existing SAP solution.
  • To develop new solutions using SAP CPI / PI.
  • To assist functional areas in proposing solutions to new business requirements.
  • To provide technical resources to resolve SAP queries.
  • Driving continuous improvements through SAP (delivering SAP projects and enhancements)

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years SAP CPI/PI development experience with Groovy script.
  • Able to complete development projects to a high standard to include, building of developments, writing technical specifications testing, training and go-live support.
  • In depth SAP expertise either in an SAP support or SAP project environment.
  • Experience in SAP template rollouts and methodologies. 
  • Experience of working for an International Company with a Global SAP multi-country environment would be an advantage, preferably within the manufacturing or automotive industry.
  • Valid driver’s license

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • ABAP Development experience
  • Experience with any SAP Cloud technologies e.g. BTP, CIG, Commerce Cloud, CPQ
  • S/4 HANA
  • HTML5 / Fiori
  • Adobe Forms
  • Workflow

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Comfortable in an in-person office environment
  • Technical competence is a plus
  • Must be customer service oriented, flexible, and have a high energy level
  • Must have excellent follow-through skills
  • Must have a professional, polished, and sophisticated demeanor and be comfortable in most social settings
  • Must be open to domestic and international travel
  • Desire and proven ability to learn and grow
