Position Purpose

This position is responsible for leading and coordinating Team Members’ activities to achieve business goals through focusing on continuous improvement and promoting a team-based culture. The position is responsible for overseeing the performance of all functions within Manufacturing.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

  •  Manage the daily allocation of work, budgets and consumable spending
  • Supervision of shop floor personnel
  • Coordinate daily production ensuring internal customer’s requirements are fulfilled
  • Implementation of JCB Production systems
  • Set and manage programs to train new team members
  • Promote flexibility in the team
  • Ensure performance standards are met
  • Manage team and individual performance and attendance
  • Compile daily, weekly and monthly reports
  • Develop and maintain visual management boards
  • Encourage involvement from all team members through daily meetings
  • Demonstrate active listening to ensure all issues are understood
  • Take responsibility for the physical appearance and safety of the workplace, as well as achieve Health and Safety objectives
  • Ensure all direct activities have a relevant Standard Operating Procedure
  • Actively pursue the elimination of waste by applying continuous improvement tools and techniques
  • Liaise with suppliers on performance and cost issues

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be bilingual 
  • Five years of Manufacturing experience
  • Two years of experience in a supervisory/team leader role
    • Must pass applicable drug screens, background checks and pre-employment tests
    • High School diploma

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Seven years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Five years of experience in a supervisory/team leader role 
  • Knowledge of Lean Enterprise, Quality Management systems and Health and Safety Programs
  • Knowledge of a Powder Paint operations

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Comfortable in an in-person office environment
  • Technical competence is a plus
  • Must be customer service oriented, flexible, and have a high energy level
  • Must have excellent follow-through skills
  • Must have a professional, polished, and sophisticated demeanor and be comfortable in most social settings
  • Must be open to domestic and international travel
  • Desire and proven ability to learn and grow

 

Job Conditions

  • Both office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory environment
  • Subject to noise and temperature changes
