Do you want to play an active role in the transformation of the Meat processing industry?

We are looking for a market-driven Product Manager. An entrepreneur who can drive change and orchestrate the play field for the portfolio of JBT Marel’s Meat division, in close collaboration with our customers, innovation teams, marketing, sales, service, software solutions and supply chain.

Building upon your profound understanding of product management, JBT Marel’s market, customers, and portfolio, you will be responsible for the business success of the Meat Stunning & Unclean portfolio.  

In this role, you will be end responsible for portfolio life cycle management, pre- and post-release. This includes

• product launch, upgrades, and obsolescence

• the creation of vision, strategy and roadmap for the Meat Stunning & Unclean product group, in close collaboration with the Manager Innovation Primary Portfolio of the Meat division

• Oversee pricing and positioning of a product line

• Deliver high quality business cases and quantified value propositions for new product development.

• Align key stakeholders, communicate and present the vision of the Meat product group

• Deliver competitive analyses and market intelligence

• Support industry sales in creation of annual revenue budgets

• Prepare sales documentation and support material.

• Ensure availability of quality sales support and project review

About the department

You will be part of the Meat Primary Portfolio team, consisting of 35 technical, product and market specialists. The team has an outstanding global track record when it comes to optimizing meat processing flow, automating and digitalizing it.

Ideally, you have a university degree and 7+ years of experience in product management in a technical, business-to-business field. Moreover, you recognize yourself in the following:

• You are energized by taking charge, leading, guiding and analyzing.

• With your business management skills, product management skills and sales experience, you’re able to assess what’s needed to be successful in this competitive market.

• Through market need analysis, pricing, competitor analysis, you’ll define marketing strategy and tactics

• You’re comfortable in creating documentation and training content to manage, guide, support and train the project team and can adept complex content to your public

• You’re business driven, focused on P&L and continuous improvement.

• Excellent presentation, organization and communication skills

• Proficient level in English, both written and verbal.

Finally you work minimum 3 days per week in the cross-functional Innovation Team at Marel Meat Headquarters in Lichtenvoorde, the Netherlands.
