This is not a research role. It is a hands-on enterprise leadership position focused on execution, adoption, and results across a diversified industrial portfolio.  An enterprise value driver, operating-model architect, and disciplined executor.

Essential Job Functions:

Enterprise AI Strategy & Governance

  • Define and own JBPCO’s multi-year AI and advanced analytics strategy aligned to corporate priorities and operating company needs.
  • Establish enterprise standards for AI governance, security, data usage, compliance, and responsible AI, in coordination with IT and Legal.
  • Lead the AI development and deployment, setting intake, prioritization, stage-gates, and funding recommendations for AI initiatives.

Use-Case Identification & Value Delivery

  • Translate AI capabilities (e.g., GenAI, agents, predictive analytics) into clearly defined business use cases with quantified ROI.
  • Prioritize initiatives that deliver near-term productivity gains and operational leverage, particularly in back-office, commercial, and operational workflows.
  • Own success metrics for AI initiatives, including adoption, productivity impact, financial returns, and risk posture.

Platform, Architecture & Integration

  • Oversee enterprise AI architecture and tooling, ensuring integration with core systems (ERP, CRM, PLM, data platforms).
  • Partner with IT to ensure AI solutions are scalable, secure, cost-controlled, and production-ready.
  • Establish standards for MLOps, model lifecycle management, monitoring, and human-in-the-loop controls.

Operating Company Enablement

  • Serve as an executive partner to operating companies, helping them identify, pilot, and scale AI solutions aligned to real business problems.
  • Balance enterprise consistency with local flexibility—avoiding redundant tools while enabling BU-specific value creation.
  • Act as executive sponsor for priority AI initiatives, incorporating user feedback and continuous improvement.

Talent, Capability & Change

  • Build and lead a high-performing AI and analytics leadership bench across multiple disciplines.
  • Develop AI fluency across the enterprise through enablement, playbooks, and role-based training in partnership with HR and Learning.
  • Create a sustainable culture of experimentation grounded in discipline, data quality, and business accountability.

Success Metrics

  • Demonstrated productivity and cost-efficiency gains attributable to AI adoption.
  • Percentage of AI initiatives meeting or exceeding forecast ROI.
  • Enterprise adoption rates of approved AI tools and workflows.
  • Data quality, model performance, and compliance KPIs consistently within tolerance.
  • Strength and engagement of the AI leadership network across operating companies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced technical degree strongly preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in analytics, AI, data, or digital transformation, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
  • Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale AI or advanced analytics solutions with measurable business outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of modern data and AI stacks, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems integration.
  • Experience operating in complex, multi-business or industrial environments preferred.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence across corporate, IT, and operating company leadership.
