Performs support functions related to equipment/supply use appropriate to the position, and in compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.

1. Education:   High School diploma or equivalent.

1. Experience: Hospital purchasing, sterilization, distribution, inventory management, or other hospital experience preferred. 

1. Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: None

1. Equipment/Tools/Work Aids: Disinfection and sterilization equipment, fax, copier,telephone, computer and calculator preferred.

1. Specialized Skills: Basic computer and calculator skills. Good verbal communication skills. Ability to form effective working relationships with co-workers, management and customers Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions.

1. Physical Requirements: Visual and hearing acuity, ability to communicate verbally

and in writing: Manual dexterity. Ability to; stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to; routinely lift 25 pounds. Considerable walking, pushing, or pulling equipment and supply carts weighing up to 65 pounds;  Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and overhead use of arms.  Ability to; meet the attendance requirements of the job.
