We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative professional to support our manufacturing operations by creating and maintaining assembly instructions and critical documentation. In this role, you will play a key part in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and Bill of Materials (BOM) management. You’ll work closely with engineering, production, materials, and purchasing teams to ensure accurate documentation, smooth process flow, and on-time execution.
Create, maintain, and control manufacturing documentation and master files in compliance with ISO standards.
Prepare, implement, and coordinate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to support manufacturing assembly instructions.
Review and interpret customer documentation, drawings, and blueprints to define and improve manufacturing process flows.
Partner with engineering and process teams to develop efficient and effective production workflows.
Maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and production status within the SAP system.
Support the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, including material setup and documentation verification.
Order stencils as needed in accordance with established procedures.
Verify ECO documentation packages for completeness, accuracy, and proper approvals.
Communicate ECO impacts across engineering, materials, and production teams; interact with customers or suppliers when required.
Ensure requote and material pricing data in SAP is accurate and up to date.
Participate in special projects, including SAP and system improvement initiatives.
Assist with excess and obsolete inventory transactions.
Maintain documentation supporting process metrics and performance tracking.
Update and manage documentation control programs as required.
Train and mentor junior team members on ECO processing and execution.
Support weekly and monthly departmental performance reporting as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned; overtime may occasionally be required.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to cross-functional teams, customers, and leadership.
Analytical mindset with the ability to identify problems, evaluate data, and implement solutions.
Advanced proficiency with Windows-based systems and business software, including ERP tools such as SAP.
Experience using word processing, spreadsheets, data management, and presentation tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, documentation, and visual aids.
Solid mathematical skills, including percentages, ratios, and basic data analysis.
Ability to follow standardized processes while applying sound judgment and attention to detail.
Familiarity with GMP and ISO standards.
Understanding of product and process design, materials, standardization, and applied statistics.
Exposure to project management and cost analysis.
Experience with ERP systems, quality systems, and documentation control platforms.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering required.
3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; medical device industry experience is a plus.
Advanced technical training in relevant areas preferred.
Typically requires five (5) years of related professional experience.
