This program is specifically designed for high-potential individuals who are eager to accelerate their career path and transition into a leadership role.

 

Program Overview

The apprenticeship is a hands-on development phase designed to prepare you for a leadership role. You will work closely with current leaders to build strong capabilities in operations, sales, financial performance, and people-management. The goal is simple: to ensure you are fully prepared to step into a Branch Manager role as soon as an opportunity becomes available. 

 

Key Requirements & Expectations

  • This role is for those whose primary career goal is to lead a branch.
  • As we expand into new territories, candidates must be willing to relocate out of state based on business needs and new location openings.
  • Candidates should have a proven track record of reliability and a desire to learn the Mckinney way of management.

 

Compensation & Application Process

  • Salary Range: $65,000 – $70,000 per year depending on location 
  • We are currently accepting applications from both internal team members and external candidates.

SUMMARY

 

Mckinney Trailers is searching for an experienced professional for the position of Assistant Branch Manager (ABM). The Assistant Branch Manager plays a critical role in driving branch growth through proactive sales leadership and operational excellence. This position supports the Branch Manager in managing day-to-day operations while focusing on building customer relationships, expanding market share, and achieving revenue targets. The ABM will lead by example, fostering a high-performance culture centered on customer satisfaction and profitability.

 

Sales and Business Development

 

  • Drive rental, lease and sales growth for Mckinney Trailers and services. 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while prospecting new business opportunities.  
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, negotiate terms, and close deals to meet or exceed branch revenue goals. 
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities. 

 

 

Branch Operations Support

 

  • Assist in overseeing daily branch operations, including inventory management, scheduling, and compliance with company standards. 
  • Support the Branch Manager in implementing operational policies and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. 
    • Manage and resolve customer inquiries and service issues promptly and professionally. 

 

 

Team Leadership

 

  • Mentor and coach branch staff to achieve sales and service objectives. 
  • Promote a positive, collaborative work environment focused on accountability and results. 
  • Attention to detail and highly organized. 
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and database systems.

 

 

Reporting and Analytics  

 

  • Track and report on sales performance, pipeline activity, and branch KPI’s.
  • Provide insight and recommendations to improve branch profitability and efficiency.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or related field preferred  
  • Experience: 3+ years in sales or account management, preferably in transportation, logistics, or equipment rental. 
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
