About Us?

The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health Ltd was established by its founding members to provide a coordinated/integrated approach to the planning, development and delivery of comprehensive primary health care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations within the Southeast Qld Region.

The Organisational Development Team’s primary focus is to assist IUIH meet its strategic objective of growing and developing a competent and enabled health workforce. IUIH continues to experience significant workforce growth, necessitating a focus on development, management and implementation of frameworks and programs to: increase Indigenous workforce participation, build required workforce skill sets, train existing staff to maximise opportunities for development and quality of care, build workforce pathways, and to create and nurture an innovative, inclusive, reflective and respectful environment built on Aboriginal Ways

About the Role?

This position will project manage the collaborative design, development, and contextualisation of IUIH’s Registered Training Organisation’s (RTO) training and assessment resources, ensuring that the IUIH Cultural Integrity Investment Framework (CIIF) and relevant Quality and Safety standards are embedded into all aspects of training and assessment tools.

Your day to day duties may include:

  • Project manage the collaborative design, and development of the RTO’s accredited training and assessment resources.
  • Following a systematic approach to contextualising the training resources and assessment tools to suit the specific needs of our learners and the requirements of IUIH, the IUIH Network, our partners and the broader health and community sector.
  • To Project manage the RTO’s validation system including evaluating validation outcomes and actioning continuous quality improvements
  • To ensure IUIH Quality Frameworks and practices are followed and adhered to.
  • To ensure RTO practices demonstrate compliance to the 2025 Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs)
  • Provide periodic performance and activity reports to the RTO Manager

About You?

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116) and/or Diploma of Training Design & Development (TAE50216) or equivalent.
  • Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD)
  • Current Criminal History Check
  • Current Working with Children’s Check (QLD Blue Card)
  • Current Disability Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
  • Ability to travel across Southeast Queensland (SEQ) as required

Desirable, but not mandatory:

  • Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and /or communities

The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH) leads the planning, development and delivery of comprehensive primary health care services to the Indigenous population of South East Queensland (SEQ). The Institute was established in 2009 by the four Community Controlled Health Services in SEQ to provide for the needs of Australia's second largest Indigenous population. Using the IUIH Model of Care we are empowering communities in South East Queensland to take responsibility for the delivery of health services to Indigenous Australians, by Indigenous Australians.
