About this role

This is a 30-bed Acuity Adaptable unit specializes in Ortho/Neuro, Neurosurgery, General Surgery, Neurology, Urology, and Trauma. The patient population on this unit will vary from those with hip fractures, stroke, and surgical patients. This unit focuses on building and maintain a strong foundation for acuity level care.

  • Recognized by Joint Commission as one of the select number of certified centers for hip and knew placements and as a Primary Stroke Center in the state of Indiana
  • Named on Healthgrade’s top 100 hospitals for joint replacement in 2024

Shift/Hours:

  • Part Time
  • Night Shift
  • 24 Hours Per Week
  • Every 3rd Weekend
  • Three holidays a year on a rotating schedule
  • One 12-hour on-call shift per 6 weeks

Description:

Knows and uses the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to individual patients. Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team. Evaluates response to interventions and patient status toward goal achievement. Accepts delegated nursing measures for which he or she knows he or she is prepared, qualified and licensed to perform.
• Requires graduation from a nationally accredited licensed practical nursing program.
• Requires current LPN license in State of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) LPN license.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• Successful completion of orientation required.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
