Location: White Memorial Hospital – Monticello, IN. 

Shift: Full-Time Days

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

Provides physical therapy services to restore function, reduce pain and prevent disability following disease or injury, and assists patients to reach maximum performance levels. Provides all components of direct patient care including supervision of physical therapist assistants, support personnel and students. Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient care, education and department operations. In addition, this position exists to exhibit excellence in patient care areas and to serve as a positive role model, mentor, educator and resource to all staff. This position also supports the department by being the exemplar resource in abilities, ownership, and maintaining the standards of service for their team members and other colleges needing guidance in the area of Physical Therapy.

  • Requires graduation from an accredited academic program in physical therapy. If graduated from a physical therapy education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.
  • Requires current Physical Therapist license in the State of Indiana.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.    
  • Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Team members are required to have 1 year of continuous employment at IU Health.
  • Team members must meet all Career Advancement Pathway eligibility requirements and submit a strategy or vision that contributes to the value of excellence by advancing clinical practice within area of expertise.
  • Once in position, team members must serve as clinical leaders within their teams, upholding the IUH Values by continuing to meet all Career Advancement Pathway eligibility requirements and demonstrating a positive impact on clinical excellence in their area through action on proposed strategy or vision and progressing or developing new strategies as appropriate.
  • Board Certification (Clinical Specialty) or advanced clinical expertise through either extended continuing education and/or certification, along with focused clinical practice.
