Job Description:

Are you a hands-on technician who likes fixing problems, staying organized, and being the go-to person when things need to get done?

Orbitalum, an ITW company, currently has an opening for a Rental Service & Repair Technician in our Greer, SC rental facility. As a Service & Repair Technician, you’ll handle everything from rental equipment management and repairs, shipping/receiving, and computer-based tasks. You’ll also help manage day-to-day building needs, work directly with customers, and prioritize work as situations change.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Perform computer related tasks such as order entry, inventory transactions, and shipping paperwork

• Responsible for rental repairs including installing replacement parts to rebuild rental  equipment

• Maintain rental facility, inventory, and the equipment needed to test machines

• Log equipment in and out of the system based on customer info provided

• Able to complete repair estimates for customer-owned equipment

• Communicate with the sales team to understand customer requirements

• Keep area clean and perform all duties in a safe effective and efficient manner

• Additional duties and tasks as assigned

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

• Strong communication skills

• Problem-solve as necessary

• Ability to work independently

• Comfortable managing multiple tasks and reprioritizing as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• HS diploma, GED and/or 1 year of relevant experience

• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.

• Aptitude with various power tools preferred.

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

• Basic computer skills/knowledge of Word and Excel computer programs

Compensation Information:

$24.40 - $33.10; based on experience
