Job Description:
The Maintenance Technician 1 will support the Maintenance department, under direction from the Maintenance Supervisor to conduct preventative maintenance orders and test and repair malfunctioning equipment throughout the plant.
- Test and repair malfunctioning production equipment/machinery and notifies appropriate personnel.
- Perform PM's on Cold Heading Machines
- Install equipment, machines, or programs to meet specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine what maintenance is needed.
- Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, and precision instruments.
- Assemble and install equipment using hand and power tools.
- Use welding skills/equipment (TIG, Stick, Torch) to fabricate and repair chutes, conveyors, hoppers, etc.
- Demonstrate high level of mechanical aptitude and must possess the knowledge of timing of cams and gears, how to set backlash, replace bushings.
- Understand hydraulic principles, pneumatic principles etc.
- Maintain current knowledge and actively addresses safety and environmental issues.
- Other duties may include janitorial, plumbing, pipefitting, painting, security, carpentry.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Compensation Information:
$23-$30 per hour
